第二届夏令营Day4

 ——慈善爱心与团队合作

人生的最高境界并不是自己的成功，而是自己获得成功的同时，还让更多的人获得成功、得到帮助和改善。慈善爱心是成功者的基本素质，校监林佳霆博士一直致力于慈善公益事业，她教导我们要关心弱势群体，帮助他们解决生活困难，他们的快乐和幸福会让我们感到有价值、有意义。进入夏令营第四天，我们组织全体学员前往汕头市潮南区雷岭镇双新村发放爱心物资及慰问贫困户。

The highest state of life is not your own success, but helping more people to succeed and improve after success. Beneficence is the basic quality of a leader, and Dr. Maggie Lam has always devoted herself in the business of  charity. She taught us that we should care for the disadvantaged and help them solve their difficulties in life. Their happiness and satisfactory make us feel more valuable and meaningful. In the fourth day of the summer camp, we organized students to go to Chaonan Leiling town Shuangxin village to issue foods and condolence poor households. 

雨后的清晨，空气格外清新，我们带着捐赠的物资和满满的爱心出发了。校车在崎岖的公路上颠簸了一个多小时，终于到达了目的地，当地的村领导热情迎接了全体学员和参与此次活动的义工，董事长张植炜博士和校监林佳霆博士不顾辛劳和烈日炙烤，带领留学生和全体学员从车上搬下捐赠的大米、食用油等物资，然后又带领大家一批批送到贫困的村民家中。

In the early morning after the rain, the air was fresh and we started our journey for donating goods and love. School bus bumped over the rough road for over an hour, and we finally arrived destination. The village leaders warmly welcomed all students and volunteers to participate in the event. Chairman Dr. Arthur Cheung and School Supervisor Dr. Maggie Lam despite the hot weather, leaded us to transport the rice, oil and other supplies to the poor families.

接下来是探访和慰问困难户，三个营分别在董事长伉俪和曾校长的带领下分头行动，我们一起走街串巷，深入每一个孤寡老人、残疾人的家中，对他们嘘寒问暖，鼓励他们战胜困难，同时董事长和校监又给他们送上慰问金，一位老人颤抖着双手接过董事长的慰问金，心中充满了无限感激，她说：“我记住了，你们这个了不起的学校叫骏荣，这么好的领导，培养的学生一定是最了不起的！”

Afterwards, the three battalions were leaded by School Chairman, Supervisor and Principal respectively to visit and condolence to the needy. We went through the lanes in the village and reached the elderly and disabled people at home, showed concern for them, encouraged them to overcome difficulties. At the same time, Dr. Cheung and Dr. Lam gave them condolence money. An old woman shook their hands and took the condolences; her heart was filled with boundless gratitude. She said: “I remember, you this great school called Chun Wing, such a good leader, fostering children are amazing!”

爱心捐赠活动在全体大合照后结束，我们马不停蹄来到荔枝园，一起采摘荔枝，体验劳动的滋味，学员们看着鲜红的荔枝，忘记了疲劳，忘记了炎热，欢呼着、采摘着，把******最红的一颗递到校监手里：“校监妈妈，您辛苦了！”看，我们的孩子真懂事！

After taking group photos, we went to the lichee farm to pick lichee and tasted the delicious fruit. Students stared at the bright red Lichee, picked and ate them and forgot all the fatigue and hot. One of the students gave the largest one to the supervisor and said: “Chun Wing Mom, you had worked hard!” See, our children were so cheerful.

团队合作是个体利益和整体利益的统一，团队精神能够使团队成员齐心协力，拧成一股绳，朝着一个目标努力，培养全体学员的团队合作能力，是我们夏令营的一个工作重点。

Teamwork is the unity of individual interests and overall interests, and team spirit enables team members to pull together. It is the focus of our summer camp to build confidence, work toward a goal, and train the spirit of team work for all students.

下午的“同心杆”团体活动在牛津楼大厅有序开展，每个小组围成一个圆圈，每人手里一根杆，组长一喊“换”，组员们同时放手，同时接住前一名同学手中的杆，一次次失败了，一次次再总结再试，终于成功了，整个小组欢呼雀跃。正式比赛开始了，各小组集中精神，裁判一声令下，小组成员配合默契，动作一致。此次团体活动使学员们明白了，一个优秀的团队要靠大家一起协同作战，优势互补，才能带来“1+1>2“的良好成绩。

In order to carry out the group activities "concentric rod" in Oxford hall in the afternoon, each group formed a circle, each hand a pole, a leader called "change", the crew let go and catch the rods at the same time. They failed again and again, and then summarize again and again and finally succeeded. Each group was as cheerful as a lark. When the official race started, each group concentrated in the game. When the referee gave the order, the team members worked together and met the target. The group activities enabled students to understand that a good team rely on collaboration and it could bring the good result of "1+1>2".

晚上的情景剧“我的香港生活/潮汕生活”增进了学员们对香港和内地民风民俗的了解，香港学员用幽默风趣的语言，结合视频资料向我们介绍了香港美食、交通、建筑、校园生活等，令内地学员眼界大开；内地学生通过解说、表演等方式向大家介绍了潮汕功夫茶、拜老爷等习俗，当孩子们把一杯杯茶彬彬有礼地敬到老师们面前时，老师们感动得热泪盈眶。

The drama "my life in Hong Kong / Chaoshan" in the evening improved the students' understanding of the folk and custom in Hong Kong and the mainland. Hong Kong students used humorous language, combined with video to introduce Hong Kong delicacy transportation construction and campus life; Mainland students made use of lectures, performances and other ways to introduce the unique culture of Chaoshan Kung Fu tea. The teachers’ were glistening with tears when the children politely presented a cup of tea to them.

校监亲临现场引导孩子们说出今天扶贫活动的感受，教导孩子们要珍惜现在的幸福生活，要勇敢克服生活中的困难，学会独立不依赖，学会努力不骄傲，争取做骏荣国际学校的“三好”学生（存好心、说好话、做好事），校监的教导和鼓励为学员们树立了远大的理想和必胜的信心，使学员们受益匪浅。紧张忙碌的一天又接近尾声，孩子们收获满满，一个孩子在感恩卡中写到：得到他人的关心和帮助是一种幸福，关心帮助他人更是一种美德。今天，我真真正正地学会了关心和帮助他人。我更懂得了要珍惜今天的幸福生活……

Then School Supervisors came to the class in order to guide the children to talk about the feelings of the poverty alleviation activities, and teach them to cherish life. She also encouraged students to bravely overcome the difficulties in life, learn to be independent, work hard, be humble, and strive to do “Three Good” students (good intentions, good words, and good deeds). The supervision and encouragement of the school supervisors have set great hopes and confidence for the students and benefited the students greatly. The busy day was drawing to a close, and the children rewarded fruitfully, one student wrote in a Thanksgiving card: To receive the care and help from others is a kind of happiness, and it is a kind of virtue to care and help others. Today we really knew how to take care and help others. We knew better, to cherish today’s happy life…
